for rising 9th graders & older
and Mentors too!

MONDAY JULY 29th, BOSTON, MA
Join the empowerHER Legacy Group* for a tour of the Massachusetts State House in Boston!
Please let them know you are coming with the RSVP form below.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

This is a drop-off/pick-up event at:
MA State House, Ashburton Entrance (right side of State House),
24 Beacon St, Boston, MA 02133.

  • DROP OFF 9:45am - GIRLS WILL GATHER at the Ashburton Entrance on the right side of the building. There are signs to help direct the girls to the right entrance that are pretty easy to find. We’re using this entrance because security will be more speedy with our group!

  • GIRLS DO NOT need an ID to enter the state house for the day.

  • GIRLS WILL GO THROUGH SECURITY GATES which involves emptying their pockets and having their belongings scanned. This is typical in government buildings. It’s a pretty quick and easy process.

  • PICK UP AT 2:30

This event has been organized and is hosted by Legacy members!
Event Chairs: Muriel Mena and her mentor Kim Fontes
🎉 Thank you Muriel and Kim for taking an idea and making it into a event!!! 🎉

*WHAT IS THE LEGACY GROUP? empowerHER members talked. . . and we listened! LEGACY is an innovative and one-of-a-kind initiative at empowerHER designed to support, empower and connect girls age 19-24. This age group bridges the gap between high school and the "real world". These years are important for peer to peer support and self discovery as these young women discover how they will leave their legacy for future generations. As you may know, empowerHER serves girls up to age 24 and it is our greatest hope they will become the future generation of empowerHER Mentors (age 25+).
