empowerHER is a nonprofit organization for young girls, ages 0 to 22, who have experienced the early loss of their mothers. We host group activities for the girls and offer a one-on-one mentor program. All programs and activities are at no charge to the family, and we remain a volunteer-driven organization.
We host meaningful (and fun!) group activities that reduce feelings of isolation the girls may feel in their own communities and create opportunities to meet others who can relate to the loss.
Our one-on-one mentor match program thoughtfully connects a girl to a positive role model from her community and offers year-round support throughout her grief journey.
Our special events and fundraising activities ensure all programs remain at no charge to the family. Our events highlight our unique programs and help us to reach the many girls who need our support.
empowerHER Soiree 2017 : Our September Soiree welcomed 550 guests in support of the beautiful, brave girls of empowerHER and it was only good vibes, great energy and incredible storytelling! Thanks to the generosity of countless individuals, proud sponsors Hallamore Crane, Quincy Mutual Group, Reebok and other South Shore industry leaders, we raised more than $150K in net proceeds to serve even more girls in 2018!
